June 13 (SeeNews) - Fuel retailer Eko Bulgaria, part of Greece's Hellenic Petroleum, said that its net profit shrank to just 14,000 levs ($8,000/7,000 euro) in 2018 from 3.7 million levs the year before, despite a rise in revenue.
Eko Bulgaria's revenue grew to 559.2 million levs last year from 546.6 million levs in 2017, the company said in an annual financial statement on Wednesday.
Cost of goods sold increased to 502.9 million levs in 2018 from 490.1 million levs in 2017.
Sales and distribution costs rose to 40.5 million levs in 2018 from 37.5 million levs the year before. Administrative expenses edged up to 11.9 million levs from 11.1 million levs in 2017.
Eko Bulgaria operates 90 filling stations across the country.
