June 8 (SeeNews) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) considers approving funding of 60 million euro ($64.4 million) to Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federation in support of local municipalities, the entity's ministry of agriculture, water management and forestry said.
Up to 50% of the funding could be provided as grants to municipalities for realisation of projects for water supply and waste water management, the ministry said in a press release on Wednesday.
The EIB would provide the funding as part of a new project Watsan FBiH - Phase II, which will be realised in accordance with the performed analysis and experiences gained within the first phase of the project, the press release read.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serb Republic is the other entity.
