April 30 (SeeNews) - Chisinau-based Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery plans to build a cider plant in Moldova, making use of the country's high-quality apple production capacity, the government said on Thursday.
"According to the company's estimates, the cider produced in Moldova could be exported to more than 46 countries," the government's press office said in a statement after a meeting between prime minister Chiril Gaburici and the general manager of Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery, Gokce Yanasmayan.
Another goal of the company is to turn Moldova into a regional supplier of raw materials for cider producers.
Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery, part of Turkey's Efes Beverage Group, is Moldova's largest beer maker.
