CROATIA'S HEP WINS 12 MLN EURO DEAL TO SUPPLY ELECTRICITY TO LJUBLJANA
Croatian energy utility HEP said on Thursday it has signed a contract worth 12 million euro ($13.4 million) to supply the Slovenian capital Ljubljana with electricity. Under the contract, HEP will supply 270 GWh of electricity to Ljubljana over the next three years.

BHTC OPENS FACTORY NEAR SOFIA, PLANS 25 MLN EURO IN LOCAL INVESTMENTS
German car parts supplier Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BHTC) held on Wednesday the official opening ceremony for a production and R&D facility worth more than 43 million levs ($24.5 million/22 million euro) in Bozhourishte, near Sofia.
The German company, which specializes in climate control management systems, plans to invest another 50 million levs in Bulgaria over the next 4-5 years, BHTC CEO Thomas Schulte said at the opening ceremony.

AURUBIS BULGARIA PLANNED FURNACE UPGRADE TO ENSURE RELIABLE PRODUCTION OVER 10 YRS
The planned 44.2 million euro ($50.4 million) upgrade of the smelting furnace at the Bulgarian plant of copper producer Aurubis would ensure reliable production over the next 10 years, the executive director of the company's Bulgarian unit said.
"The renovation of the furnace will enable us to produce in a safe way for a decade," Tim Kurth told SeeNews in a recent interview. "The smelter is working at a very high intensity 24 hours a day all year around and it is necessary to be refreshed."
