November 27 (SeeNews) - The European Commission said on Wednesday that it has decided to send a reasoned opinion to Bulgaria over the non-conformity of the country's national legislation and practice with EU rules on the recognition of professional qualifications.
"With these rules, the EU has put into place a modern system, which helps make labour markets more flexible, further facilitates the provision of services between Member States and establishes automatic recognition of professional qualifications in EU countries for some professions, such as architects, doctors or nurses," the Commission said in a monthly infringements package.
Bulgaria now has two months to comply or the Commission might decide to bring the case before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
