December 8 (SeeNews) - The Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Sem Fabrizi, said on Friday the European Commission (EC) plans to present in February a strategy for the integration of the Western Balkans.
"A number of people in Brussels are working to craft the strategy, we should give a roadmap for the next year," Fabrizi said in a video file posted on the website of Serbian news agency Tanjug.
There is a strong political momentum in the process of the EU integration of the Western Balkans, Fabrizi said.
"We have a window of opportunities, a timeframe, but of course this will be linked to a process of credible reform in the Western Balkans."
In the Western Balkans, Serbia and Macedonia are already in talks for joining the EU, while Albania and Macedonia are official candidates for accession. The EU recognises Bosnia and Herzegovina as a potential candidate.
