May 13 (SeeNews) - The European Commission said in has approved Croatia's 322 million euro ($350 million) loan guarantees and subsidised loans scheme aimed at supporting coronavirus-affected micro companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The scheme was approved under the Commission's temporary state aid framework adopted on March 19, the Commission said in a statement on Tuesday.
"We continue to work in close cooperation with Member States to find workable solutions to mitigate the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak, in line with EU rules," the Commission's executive vice-president in charge of competition, Margrethe Vestager, said in the statement.
The Croatian scheme will be managed by the country's agency for SMEs, innovations and investments, HAMAG-BICRO.
