PRISTINA (Kosovo), April 3 (SeeNews) – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking a consultant to advise Kosovo’s government in designing a process for the privatisation of Kosovo Telecom based on international experience, the bank said on Wednesday.
The objective of the assignment is to assist Albania’s ministry of economy and development, which is in charge of overseeing the privatisation of Kosovo Telecom, in designing and adopting a privatisation strategy and process, the EBRD said in a procurement notice.

“[...] the consultant will work with the ministry to develop a set of standards and procedures which will guide the privatisation, clearly define responsibilities of various agencies and officials involved and ensure effective coordination among them,” the bank noted.
The assignment is envisaged to total 70,000 euro ($78,399), exclusive of VAT, and will be financed by the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund.
The deadline for submitting bids is April 24.
The assignment is expected to start in May 2019 and has an estimated overall duration of 4 months.
