June 29 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Friday it is providing a sovereign guaranteed loan of up to 37 million euro ($43.1 million) to the railway passenger operator Srbija Voz to finance the expansion and upgrade of the company’s Zemun technical passenger station facility.
The project includes modernization works at TPS Zemun, including civil works and the replacement of the required equipment; and supply and installation of the management information systems for JSC Srbija Voz, the EBRD said in a statement.
The EBRD is now calling for proposals from consultants to facilitate the successful and timely implementation of the project by providing procurement support services.
The assignment is expected to being in September 2018 with a total duration of forty months.
The deadline for the submission of bids is August 13.
In December, the EBRD signed an agreement to provide the first portion of a 47 million euro loan to the railway passenger operator Srbija Voz to finance the expansion and upgrade of the Zemun maintenance depot in Belgrade.
It said at the time that a second loan for the remainder is expected early in 2018.
