September 12 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has allocated 34 million euro ($36.4 million) for the restoration of a 31-kilometre long road section between the northern city of Soroca and the village of Arionesti, Moldova's president Maia Sandu said in a social media post on Monday.
The road, which has not been thoroughly rehabilitated for 30 years, serves people from 12 localities.
"In the last two years, we have built about 100 km of sewerage, 300 km of street lighting, repaired over 350 km of roads and renovated dozens of schools and kindergartens," Sandu added.
