November 25 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Thursday it has approved a 15 million euro ($16.8 million) senior unsecured loan to Bosnia’s Raiffeisen Leasing to back local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The funding will be used to provide lease finance for SMEs, including the financing for green assets and contribute to the objectives of Financial Intermediaries Framework (FIF), supporting competitiveness and resilience, the EBRD said in a project summary document.
The loan will be extended in two tranches, of 8 million euro and 7 million euro, the EBRD said.
Raiffeisen Leasing is part of Raiffeisen Bank International group and the second largest leasing company in Bosnia and Herzegovina by total assets, with a market share of 35% as of the end of 2020.
