May 10 (SeeNews) - Dutch low-cost carrier Transavia said it is launching on Wednesday a regular flight connecting Sofia to Amsterdam.
The route will be operated three times weekly - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Transavia said in a statement.
"We believe this route will continue to develop," Transavia's spokesperson Anita Sunter said in the statement.
In September, Transavia said it will begin to service four new destinations in Southeastern Europe (SEE). The new flights were planned to connect Amsterdam Schiphol airport with Serbia's Belgrade, Slovenia's Ljubljana, Bulgaria's Sofia and Albania's Tirana.
Transavia already operates flights on three destinations in the SEE region - the Croatian cities of Dubrovnik, Split and Zadar.
