July 16 (SeeNews) - Dutch digital agency Dept has entered the Croatian market by taking over local IT company Blazing Edge, Croatian media reported on Friday.
“Award-winning global agency Dept has opened two offices in Croatia, one in Zagreb and another one in Split. The latest opening, which was officially confirmed on Thursday, took place by an acquisition of US company Rocket Insights, which is the owner of the Split-based company Blazing Edge,” magazine Netokracija said in a report published on Blazing Edge's website.

The value of the acquisition was not disclosed. Officials of Blazing Edge and Dept were not available to comment.
Dept has more then 20 offices in Europe and US and more than 1,500 employees.
In Croatia, it now has 30 employees and plans to double their number by the autumn of 2022, focusing primarily on JavaScript, Java, Android and QA engineers.
Dept has carried out projects for Google, Steelseries and Vang Gogh museum. Its clients include also Unilever, Panasonic, Samsung and Phillips.
