October 4 (SeeNews) - Netherlands-based Invera Private Equity Fund acquired a 70% stake in Kompare Online, the largest and oldest Croatian web service for comparing the prices of telecom services and insurance policies, Croatian private equity fund manager Invera Equity Partners said on Tuesday.
“With this takeover, Invera plans to speed up the development of new products, digitalisation of business processes, financial stability, and employment in Kompare,” it said in a Linkedin post without elaborating on the value of the investment.
This is Invera's third investment in Southeast Europe after taking over Croatian company Metamorfoza, known for the global franchise of the Museum of Illusions, and Slovenian company Marles Hise Maribor, which produces prefabricated houses and other facilities.
According to data from the Croatian court register of companies, Kompare Online was founded by Niksa Tomulic, Ozren Papic, Emil Franjcec and Austrian company VV-Consulting Gesellschaft fuer Risikoanalyse, Vorsorgeberatung und Versicherungsvermittlung.
The company has a share capital of 2.0 million kuna ($264,000/266,000 euro).
