July 12 (SeeNews) - Dutch animal feed company Royal De Heus has said it signed an agreement for the acquisition of the compound feed plant of Serbian company Komponenta in Cuprija, central Serbia.
The production line of the plant in Cuprija will be renewed and equipped with the most advanced production techniques by the end of 2018 to meet De Heus' standards, the Dutch company said in a statement earlier this week.

"The new plant in Cuprija is very favourably situated geographically. This enables us to easily reach livestock farmers in South Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania as well," the general manager of De Heus Serbia, Darko Sadzak, said.
De Heus also plans to expand the capacity of its plant in Sabac and to increase its total production capacity in Serbia to 260,000 tonnes, Sadzak added.
De Heus Group is a global top-15 feed supplier with over 5,000 employees, represented in 60 countries, according to data from the corporate website.
In 2015, De Heus acquired Serbian agricultural company Proteinka, based in Sabac.
