BELGRADE (Serbia), December 5 (SeeNews) – Insurer Dunav Osiguranje saw its share of the total premium income of Serbia's insurance sector rise to 27.7% in the first nine months of 2017 from 26.6% in the prior-year period, and the company remains leader in the sector, the central bank said.
Dunav Osiguranje generated a premium income of 19.642 billion dinars ($194.6 million/164.2 million euro) in the first nine months of the year, the largest premium income among Serbian insurers, the central bank, NBS, said in a quarterly report on the performance of the country's insurance sector published on Monday.
Generali followed with 14.949 billion dinars of premium income, or 21.1% of the total, according to the report.
The capital adequacy ratio of Serbian life insurers stood at 241.5% at the end of September, while the capital adequacy ratio of non-life insurers amounted to 206.2%, NBS said.
