October 13 (SeeNews) - Insurer Dunav Osiguranje saw its share of the total premium income of Serbia's insurance sector decline to 26.5% at the end of March from 26.7% at the end of March, and the company remains leader in the sector, the central bank said on Wednesday.
Dunav Osiguranje generated a premium income of 15.996 billion dinars ($157.4 million/136.2 million euro) in the first half of 2021, up from 15.134 billion dinars, the largest premium income among Serbian insurers, the central bank, NBS, said in a report on the performance of the country's insurance sector.
Generali followed with 12.287 billion dinars of premium income, or 20.3% of the total, according to the report.
The capital adequacy ratio of Serbian life insurers stood at 245,5% at the end of June, while the total capital adequacy ratio of insurers amounted to 210.3%, NBS said.
