BELGRADE (Serbia), December 12 (SeeNews) – Insurer Dunav Osiguranje saw its share of the total premium income of Serbia's insurance sector decline to 26.9% at the end of September from 27.7% in the like period of last year, and the company remains leader in the sector, the central bank said.
Dunav Osiguranje generated a premium income of 20.048 billion dinars ($191.9 million/169.4 million euro) in the first nine months of 2018, the largest premium income among Serbian insurers, the central bank, NBS, said in a quarterly report on the performance of the country's insurance sector.
Generali followed with 16.444 billion dinars of premium income, or 22.0% of the total, according to the report.
The capital adequacy ratio of Serbian life insurers stood at 258.1% at the end of September, while the total capital adequacy ratio of insurers amounted to 212.7%, NBS said.
