February 19 (SeeNews) - Serbian insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) on Wednesday, as stock indices rose, bourse data showed.
A total of 701 Dunav Osiguranje shares changed hands in a turnover of 2.8 million dinars. Dunav Osiguranje closed 0.05% lower at 3,998 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.40% at 817.64 points.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 4.76% to 2,200 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.46% at 1,771.27.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 761 million dinars ($7.0 million/6.5 million euro) on Wednesday, up from 398 million dinars on Tuesday, as 62 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 140,520 dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
