May 10 (SeeNews) - The Romanian subdsidiary of US drug maker Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) said it has named Nicolas Renard as its new general manager.
Renard is replacing Fabrizio Giombini, one of the longest serving managers in the pharmaceutical industry, MSD Romania said in a press release on Wednesday.
Renard, who has a professional experience of over 16 years in MSD, is committed to boost the strategic development of the Romania branch, among the first ten pharmaceutical companies on the local market.
Before this appointment, Renard was global portfolio leader for the Pain franchise in MSD's diversified Brands division. Between 2012 and 2015, he was managing director of MSD North & West African Cluster. Previously, he had a series of senior management positions in the vaccines and diabetes divisions.
Merck Sharp & Dohme has operations in over 140 countries.
