December 6 (SeeNews) - Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the top blue-chip gainer on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on Tuesday for the fifth straignt day, bourse data indicated.
Krka's share price added 1.61% to a close of 53.55 euro ($57.4). The drug producer generated also the highest trading turnover, of 927,430 euro.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ticked up 0.03%, closing at 703.40 points.
Five blue-chip companies fell, whereas two closed higher.
The share price of household appliances producer Gorenje fell the most among blue chips. The stock closed 2.84% lower at 5.82 euro.
Slovenia biggest insurer, Zavarovalnica Triglav also closed lower on Tuesday, down 2.12% to 22.655 euro, in a modest trading turnover of 53,650 euro.
On Monday, Triglav became direct owner of 3.155% stake or a total of 684,046 new shares in Slovenian business conglomerate Sava following the completion of a compulsory settlement. Indirectly, via a shareholder of local pension insurer Skupna pokojninska druzba, it also acquired 857,186 new shares with business funds, representing 3.954% of the share capital of Sava. Prior to the subscription and payment of the new shares, Zavarovalnica Triglav was not shareholder in Sava.
LJSE's total trading turnover fell to 1.82 million euro from 3.0 million euro on Monday.
