July 20 (SeeNews) - The value of Moldovan banks' outstanding loans to the private sector decreased 7.9% year-on-year to 37.89 billion lei ($2.08 billion/1.80 billion euro) in June, compared to a 9.9% annual decline in May, the central bank, BNM, said on Thursday.
Private lending in lei fell 5.36% on the year to 22.06 billion lei in June, compared to a 6.6% annual drop in May, BNM said in a statement.
Private lending in foreign currency fell 11.2% to 16.53 billion lei, decelerating from a 14.0% drop in May.
