SKOPJE (Macedonia), February 20 (SeeNews) – A DoubleTree by Hilton hotel is expected to open in Macedonian capital Skopje in early 2016, commercial property advisors Forton said on Thursday.
As a newly built property, DoubleTree by Hilton is planned to offer 172 rooms on the market, Forton said in its semi-year report on Skopje’s hotel market
Hilton Worldwide announced the franchise agreement with Macedonia’s Stone Bridge Hotel for the construction of DoubleTree by Hilton Skopje in May 2013.
The Macedonian government said last year that Double Tree by Hilton will be worth 30 million euro ($41.2 million) and that was expected to be completed in the fall of 2014.
According to Forton, the hotel occupancy in Skopje mostly depends on business, rather than leisure purposes, while the front-end single room rates vary from 70 euro to 138 euro.
