January 25 (SeeNews) - Turkish holding company Dogus said on Wednesday it plans to invest 120 million euro ($130 million) in the Croatian Adriatic city of Zadar, including 55 million euro in the country's first ever hotel under the Hyatt brand.
Construction works on the hotel have already started at the site of former factory Maraska, in the historic centre of Zadar, and they are expected to be finalised in 2024, Dogus said in a press release.
The five-star hotel, to be named Hyatt Regency Zadar Maraska, will have 133 rooms and will create up to 140 jobs. Dogus also said it plans to invest in development of residential property around the hotel.
The group has been investing in the last 14 years in the Croatian tourism sector in marinas and hotels in Zadar, Sibenik and Dubrovnik.
