October 20 (SeeNews) - Dm Bulgaria, a unit of German drugstore retail chain dm-drogerie markt, said its sales revenue rose 15.7% year-on-year to 110.7 million levs ($66.8 million/56.6 million euro) in the fiscal year 2016/17 that ended on September 30.
"The company opened seven new stores and the total number of stores of the largest drogerie chain in the country reached 71 in 25 cities," dm Bulgaria said in a press release on Thursday.
The expansion of the store network led to an increase in the number of the company's employees to 600 from 500 at end-September 2016.
Dm Bulgaria has invested a total of 7 million levs in the opening of new stores, upgrade of existing stores and expansion of the capacity of its logistics base in the western town of Elin Pelin.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, dm also has operations in Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia and Macedonia.
