November 4 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose on Monday, as diversified holding Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH] contributed the biggest portion of the bourse's total turnover, in trades worth 1.85 million kuna in total, ZSE data showed.
Djuro Djakovic's share price soared by 28.77% to 6.40 kuna, leading the blue-chip gainers.
On Saturday, economy minister Darko Horvat told public broadcaster HRT that Croatia has been in talks with the US government and two European companies on the future of Djuro Djakovic.
On October 23, the group said it was in talks with creditors for resolving the liquidity crisis which has left it short of funds to pay September salaries. The following day, some 600 employees of Djuro Djakovic launched a strike, demanding payment of their September salaries and the resignation of the management board director. Djuro Djakovic closed the first nine months of 2019 with a net loss of 38.75 million kuna, compared with a net loss of 5.4 million kuna in the like period last year.
Power transmission equipment manufacturer Dalekovod [ZSE:DLKV] led the blue-chip losers, closing 2.99% lower at 5.20 kuna.
On Wednesday, Dalekovod said it turned to a consolidated net profit of 22.4 million kuna in the first nine months of 2019, from a loss of 45.5 million kuna in the like period of last year.
Confectionery producer Kras closed flat at 1,050 kuna in deals worth 1.1 million kuna in total.
Kras said last week its nine-month consolidated net profit rose to 18.5 million kuna from 16.8 million kuna in the like period of last year.
ZSE's total trading turnover edged down to 9.95 million kuna ($1.5 million/1.3 million euro), from 10.2 million kuna on Thursday.
The ZSE was closed on Friday for a national holiday.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index rose by 0.37% to 1,999.43 on Monday after falling 0.51% on Thursday.
The narrower of ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.22% to 1,182.66 after losing 0.69% on Thursday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index fell 0.12% to 116.4603.
