March 20 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's incumbent president, Milo Djukanovic, will face Jakov Milatovic in a run-off vote on April 2, after no candidate secured 50% majority in the first round of the presidential election held on March 19, preliminary projections by a local NGO monitoring the vote showed on Monday.
Based on a sample of 100% of the vote, Djukanovic is projected to have won 35.2%, while Milatovic had collected 29.2% support, according to data by the Centre for Monitoring and Research (CEMI).
Andrija Mandic was in third place with 19.3% and Aleksa Becic came fourth with 10.9% of the vote. A total of seven candidates ran for president.
Voter turnout was 63.1%, CEMI said.
