November 18 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has found Hamed Ramic, the director of local civil engineering company Euro-Asfalt, guilty of abuse of position or authority, local media reported.
According to the verdict, Ramic will serve a one-year prison sentence, as the court will confiscate illegal proceeds of 616,639 marka ($327,000/315,300 euro) from the company, news agency N1 BiH reported on Thursday.
Ramic is accused of making illegal payments to the account of local employment agency Leading which later were returned to Euro-Asfalt through intermediaries, according to the report.
Sarajevo-based Euro-Asfalt was established in 1996. It employs about 600 staff.
