November 23 (SeeNews) - Danish rescue boats manufacturer Viking Life-Saving Equipment plans to build a new factory in the region of Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv, a senior company official said.
"I can confirm we are planning to build a factory in the Plovdiv area," Tommy Hansen, managing director of Viking Life-Saving Equipment, told SeeNews in an e-mailed statement late on Wednesday.
Further details about the investment will be disclosed in due time, Hansen added.
According to local media outlet Capital.bg, the investment of Viking Life-Saving Equipment amounts to 12 million levs ($7.25 million/6.13 million euro). The investment will increase production capacity and will expand the company's product portfolio.
The company is already operating a factory near Plovdiv.
