April 19 (SeeNews) - Danish work uniforms producer Kentaur is considering a brownfield investment in the construction of a factory in Vranje, in southern Serbia, the city government said.
The Danish company considers the launch of a factory for the production of uniforms for the catering, healthcare and food industries in the Bunusevac industrial zone of Vranje, the city government said in a statement earlier this week.
Kentaur needs new production facilities in Europe and plans to hire about 300 employees in Vranje, the city government said.
"[...] we are ready to meet the investors' demands for expansion of the industrial zone. The city government is trying to prepare land plots for interested investors and I hope that this project will be successfully implemented," the mayor of Vranje, Slobodan Milenkovic, said during a meeting with representatives of Kentaur.
The Danish company makes pants, smocks, hats, tunics, shirts, jeans, outdoor wear, chef jackets, aprons, and tee shirts, and offers online service and support, according to data from its corporate website.
