BUCHAREST (Romania), June 9 (SeeNews) – U.S. company Delphi Automotive said it opened in Romania a plant for wiring harness modules for vehicle manufacturers across Europe.
Some 1,400 square metres of the facility, which is located in Moldova Noua in southwestern Romania, were opened and another 2,400 square metres will be unveiled in September, Delphi Automotive said in a statement posted on its website.

The value of the investment in the plant was not disclosed.
The employees of the new plant could approach 1,000 by the end of the year.
"This new plant will allow us to build on the expertise and capital investment we've made at our other plants in Romania in order to support our customers' increasing production volumes," the global sales director of Delphi Electrical/Electronic Architecture, Gerhard Mertes, said in the statement.
The U.S. company currently operates three plants in Romania, employing more than 10,000 people at facilities that manufacture wiring harnesses and components for high-precision diesel common rail systems.
