April 9 (SeeNews) - Delhaize Serbia has received a construction permit for a logistics centre project, a spokesperson for the company told SeeNews in an email on Tuesday, confirming reports in the local media.
Serbian media reported earlier in the day that the logistic hub will be located in Stara Pazova and will see the construction of 70,000 square metres of commercial space during the first phase with a further 50,000 square metres to be added during the second phase of the project.
Belgium's Delhaize Group entered Serbian market in July 2011 after acquiring Serbian supermarket chain Delta Maxi.
Stara Pazova is located in the southern part of Serbia's Vojvodina province.
