January 26 (SeeNews) - Romanian car maker Automobile Dacia, a member of France’s Renault Group, said it has started serial production of the Jogger Hybrid 140 model, its first hybrid propulsion vehicle.
The Jogger Hybrid 140 offers a driving range of over 900 km in mixed cycle, while its traction battery comes with an 8-year warranty, or 160,000 km, Dacia said in a press release on Wednesday.

Almost 80,000 units of the Jogger model have already been exclusively produced at the factory in Mioveni, in southern Romania, of which over 90% were exported, mainly to Western European markets. In 2022, the Jogger was the runner-up in the ranking of the best-selling C-segment vehicles, excluding SUVs, to private customers in Europe.
Dacia saw its sales in 2022 rise by an annual 6.8% to 573,837 units, reaffirming its third place on the European podium of sales to private consumers, Renault said in a last week.
In 2021, Dacia’s net profit jumped by 67% to 498 million lei ($110.4 million/101.6 million euro), while its sales reached 21.4 billion lei, rising by an annual 17.2%, the company said in May 2022.
