March 10 (SeeNews) - Czech real estate developer CTP plans to build in Belgrade a logistics and technology facility, the largest in the country to date, it said.
CTP has completed the acquisition of 27.5 hectares of land located close to Belgrade’s city centre and the Nikola Tesla airport, where it plans to build CTPark Belgrade Centre, a complex with with over 130,000 sq m of gross lettable area, it said in a statement earlier this week.
Tehnomanija, a leading retail and e-commerce consumer electronics chain and long-term tenant at CTPark Belgrade North, has preleased 50,000 sq m in the new park, with CTP starting construction next year and handover set for the first quarter of 2023, the company said
"Logistics property is in massive demand due to booming e-commerce and there is an under supply of available space on the Serbian market. Over 80% of CTP's new business is done with our existing 700 clients and several of those are now ready to expand," Vlatko Djuricek, CTP’s country head noted.
CTP has five logistics and industrial parks in Serbia in total size of 355,000 sq m of leasable space. Elsewhere in Southeastern Europe, the company has presence in Romania and Bulgaria.
