January 27 (SeeNews) - Renewable energy developer Continental Wind Partners (CWP) Europe plans to build a 400 MW solar power plant in Montenegro, it said.
The company did not provide futher details in a social media post earlier this week.
The investment is worth 360 million euro ($392 million), local media reported on Friday.
Construction of the Montechevo power plant in the southern city of Cetinje is scheduled to begin in 2025, and will be completed by the end of 2026, Balkan Green Energy News reported. The plant will produce 650 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power 154,000 households.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, CWP Europe is active in Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
