Once put into operation, the Studina solar photovoltaic plant will supply electricity to around 115,000 households and will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 95,000 tonnes per year.
The project will also align with Romania's goals in the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan.
CWP was established in 2006 and is developing 6+ GW of utility-scale wind, solar and battery storage projects in Southeast Europe. The company has previously developed in Romania the 600 MW Fantanele-Cogealac onshore wind farm, the largest in Europe at the moment. CWP employs more than 90 people. Beyond Romania, the company is present in Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania, Moldova, Montenegro, Ukraine, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
