March 21 (SeeNews) - The number of cruise passengers who visited Montenegro in 2018 fell 6.3% to 506,198, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
The total number of cruise ship calls handled by Montenegro's seaports in 2018 decreased by 1.4% to 424, the office of statistics said in a statement.
The largest number of cruise ship calls serviced by Montenegrin seaports in 2017, 65, was recorded in August, followed by September and July with 61 each.
As many as 122 of the cruise ship calls operated in Montenegro were made by vessels sailing under the Bahamas flag. Ships under Malta and Panama flags amounted to 107 and 52, respectively.
In 2017, Montenegrin seaports serviced 540,445 passengers, up 1.5%, while the number of cruise ship calls fell 10.4% to 430.
