July 31 (SeeNews) - Croatian sugar producer Viro [ZSE:VIRO] posted a consolidated net loss of 33.2 million kuna ($5.0 million/4.5 million euro) in the first half of 2019, compared to a net profit of 1.9 million kuna a year earlier, it said on Wednesday.
First-half consolidated revenue dropped 8.9% on the year to 393 million kuna, while total expenses edged down 0.8% to 426.2 million kuna, Viro said in an unaudited interim financial statement filed to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
Viro employed 431 workers at the end of June.
The company's shares traded at 82.50 kuna by 12:45 CET on Wednesday on the ZSE, unchanged from Tuesday's close.
