October 26 (SeeNews) - Telekom Austria said its Croatian unit Vipnet has recorded a 27.6% year-on-year growth in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) to 88.4 million euro ($104.5 million) in the first nine months of 2017, on the back of rising revenues.
Vipnet's revenues rose by an annual 11.1% to 328.0 million euro in the nine months through September, according to reported figures, Telekom Austria said in an interim financial report on Wednesday.
Total revenues in Croatia continued to profit especially from strong growth in the fixed-line business as well as an increase in visitor roaming due to high data usage elasticities, Telekom Austria noted.
"Croatia showed a continuing solid performance in the mobile business. Additionally, reported fixed-line revenues in the Croatian segment benefitted from the acquisition of Metronet in Q1 2017," it noted.
