May 6 (SeeNews) - Croatian tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] will open two new luxury facilities as part of a bigger 793 million kuna ($119.7 million/107 million euro) investment, the company said.
The Istra Premium Camping Resort and Valamar Collection Marea Suites will be opened in June, Valamar Riviera said in a statement on Friday.
"We expect a successful and timely opening of all investment projects for the year as we are satisfied with the management at the beginning of the season, during the Easter holidays. Demand is satisfying, especially for accommodation, in which we have invested, but we also expect a challenging tourist season, bearing in mind the global movements and enhanced competition of certain destinations, especially on the Mediterranean," Valamar CEO, Zeljko Kukurin, said.
The hotel operator owns five brands: Valamar Collection, Valamar Collection Resorts, Valamar Hotels and Resorts, Sunny and Camping Adriatic. With the acquisition of Imperial in 2016, a hotel group on Rab Island, Valamar Riviera Group now operates 30 hotels and resorts and 15 camping resorts in five attractive destinations along the Adriatic coast – from Istria and the islands of Krk and Rab to Dubrovnik.
