July 31 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on Wednesday, as tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] paced the blue-chip losers, bourse data showed.
The company said on Wednesday its first-half consolidated EBITDA fell 21% on the year to 84.7 million kuna.
Valamar's shares closed 2.6% lower at 37.40 kuna.
Power transmission equipment manufacturer Dalekovod [ZSE:DLKV] led the blue-chip gainers, as its shares rose 5.66% to 6.72 kuna.
The company said on Tuesday it swung to a net profit of 36.7 million kuna in the first half of 2019, from a loss of 4 million kuna a year earlier. Moreover, Dalekovod Group turned to a consolidated net profit of 30 million kuna in the first half of 2019, from a loss of 8.9 million kuna a year earlier.
Hrvatski Telekom [HT] generated the highest trading turnover among the blue-chip companies on Wednesday, of 3.4 million kuna, including a 3.3 million kuna block transaction. Its shares closed at 160 kuna, down 0.62%.
Last week, Hrvatski Telekom said its first-half consolidated net profit fell 1.2% on the year to 435.3 million kuna.
ZSE's total trading turnover rose to 7.5 million kuna ($1.1 million/1.0 million euro), from 4.6 million kuna on Tuesday.
The 25-share benchmark index CROBEX lost 0.61% to 1,911.58 after growing 0.08% in the last trading session.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, decreased by 0.61% to 1,109.08 after increasing 0.14% on Tuesday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.05% to 116.1084.
