September 28 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Tankerska Next Generation [ZSE:TPNG-R-A] said on Friday it took re-delivery of the Dalmacija product tanker from oil and oil derivatives trader Trafigura following the near-expiration of a time charter.
"After nearly three years from delivery, Tankerska Next Generation d.d. and Trafigura have mutually agreed to conclude an almost fully utilized time charter employment contract for the eco-designed MR product tanker Dalmacija," the Croatian company said in a Zagreb bourse filing.
The vessel has been re-delivered with compensation for early re-delivery, in line with the contractual terms.
Tankerska noted that the re-delivery of MT Dalmacija enables it to capitalize on the spot or the time charter market in a period encompassed by new regulatory requirements, with the aim of achieving the most favourable commercial and operational efficiency of the vessel, in accordance with the fleet employment strategy.
TNG is majority-owned by Zadar-based peer Tankerska Plovidba.
