April 7 (SeeNews) - The Croatian share indices gained ground on Thursday, whereas total daily turnover rose, bourse data indicated.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) climbed 0.39% to 1,668.29 points after adding 0.02% on Wednesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.49% to 985.20 after gaining 0.16% in the previous session.
ZSE's total turnover jumped to 5.1 million kuna to ($773,491/679,259euro) from 3.8 million kuna on Wednesday.
Food, beverage and drug producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR-R-A] paced the CROBEX gainers, advancing 1.88% to 326 kuna with 1,016 shares sold.
Civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR-R-A] led the CROBEX decliners, losing 7.38% to 2.51 kuna with 2,921 shares traded.
Hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP-R-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 981.972 kuna. The stock closed up 0.73% from Wednesday at 24.73 kuna.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged down 0.02% to 105.8373 points.
