September 30 (SeeNews) - Croatian building materials producer Samoborka [ZSE:SMBK] said on Friday its consolidated net profit for the first six months of this year totalled 9.5 million kuna ($1.2 million/1.3 million euro), up from 9.1 million kuna in the same period of last year, as its sales increased by almost 15%.
The rise in profit came came on the back of increased activity of the construction sector and higher sales prices resulting from the growth of input prices of materials and energy, the company said in a consolidated unaudited report filed to the Zagreb bourse.
Operating revenue rose to 132.2 million kuna in the six months through June from almost 124 million kuna in the same period of last year. Sales revenue increased to 129.6 million kuna from 113.3 million kuna.
The company's overall costs went up to 120.9 million kuna from 112.7 million kuna.
