August 3 (SeeNews) - Croatian manufacturer of professional equipment for road maintenance Rasco has recently produced its 300th Muvo vehicle - a multifunctional utility carrier for urban maintenance, designed and manufactured entirely in Croatia, the company said.
Muvo comes equipped with various attachment machinery, allowing the vehicle to carry out different types of general communal services. Apart from cleaning and maintaining streets and areas in more than 30 large Croatian cities, including attractive tourist destinations on the Adriatic coast, Muvo is also present in almost all of Europe, Asia and Australia, Rasco said in a statement last week.
The two owners of Rasco - Frane Franicevic and Darko Pavisa, came up with the idea for Muvo back in 2008. The first vehicle was presented in 2012 at the IFAT trade fair in Munich, while serial production started in 2013, the company said.
In 2015, Rasco joined forces with German utility vehicle manufacturer Max Holder to create a 50/50 joint venture firm, Rasco Holder, specifically engaged in the production of Muvo. The move allowed Muvo to enter the international market.
"Muvo combines an excellent working performance, multifunctionality and quality. With a single vehicle, thanks to changing the attachments, our clients receive a compact cleaner, a winter service vehicle, a mowing vehicle, a plant and park watering machine, a lifting platform and much more," Rasco Holder technical director, Ivica Ivanic, said.
Last year, Rasco introduced its new street cleaning vehicle Lynx - the result of a 30 million kuna ($4.7 million/4.0 million euro) project, whose primary role is maintenance of city streets, sidewalks and parking lots, as well as cleaning dead leaves, large pieces of waste, and dust.
Rasco exports its products to more than 40 counties around the world. Exports contribute 80% of the company's revenue, the company said last year.
