November 26 (SeeNews) - Croatia's economic output grew by a real 15.8% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021, the statistical office said on Friday.
“The change rate of seasonally adjusted quarterly GDP was positive at 2.7% compared to the previous quarter, while it increased by 15.5% in real terms compared to the same quarter of 2020,” the statistical office said in its first estimate of the country's economic performance in the third quarter of 2021.
Household consumption was up by a real 16% on the year in the third quarter of 2021, while government spending fell 4.5%.
Exports of goods and services surged 48.8% year-on-year and imports of goods and services expanded by an annual 13.9% in the review period.
Croatia's economic output shrank by a real 0.6% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2021 and surged by 16.5% in the second quarter of this year.
In 2020, it declined by a real 8.4%.
