May 25 (SeeNews) - Croatia's central government budget deficit increased to 3.2 billion kuna ($482.9 million/430.7 million euro) in the first quarter, from a gap of 2.3 billion kuna a year earlier, official figures show.
Budget revenues increased by 3.0% year-on-year to 26 billion kuna in the first three months of 2017, while spending rose by 5.9% to 29.3 billion kuna, according to figures posted on the finance ministry's website.
In March alone, Croatia recorded a government budget deficit of 1.6 billion kuna, compared with 1.4 billion kuna gap in the same month of 2016. Budget revenues expanded to 8.3 billion kuna in March, from 8.2 billion kuna a year earlier, while expenditures rose to 9.9 billion kuna from 9.6 billion kuna.
