August 13 (SeeNews) - Croatian food, beverage and drug producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] plans to build a plant near Bosnia's Mostar, where it will process fruits and vegetables grown in this area, Bosnian media reported over the weekend.
The new plant will work 365 days a year producing dry tomato concentrate for Podravka's plant in Koprivnica, as well as final tomato products and all kinds of apple, fig, plum, and apricot jams, news portal Vecernji.ba reported over the weekend.
The plant will export to the region, as well as to the remainder of Europe and Russia.
According to Podravka's plan, the plant should already be up and running by the end of April 2019.
Experts from the company have confirmed that the site for the plant near Mostar is fully in line with Podravka's standards, Vecernji noted, quoting several sources close to the company.
Podravka operates in three main business segments - food, beverages and pharmaceuticals. Its markets include Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Adria region, and Overseas Markets.
