February 28 (SeeNews) - Croatian food, beverages and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR-R-A] said on Friday its consolidated net profit rose to 221.6 million kuna ($32.6 million/29.7 million euro) last year, from 205.7 million kuna in 2018.
The company's sales revenue rose by 4.2% to 4.4 billion kuna in 2019, Podravka said in a Zagreb bourse filing.
The consolidated sales of its food segment increased by 3.6% to 3.45 billion kuna last year, while sales of pharmaceuticals rose 6.5% to 955.4 million kuna, the statement reads.
The sales growth during the reviewed period was led by the region of Eastern Europe, where sales rose 14.5% to 334.9 million kuna, and the region of Western Europe and overseas countries with sales expanding 6.8% to 466.2 million kuna.
The Adria region saw a 4.0% rise in sales revenues to 3.1 billion kuna, while the sales in Central Europe edged up 0.3% to 510 million kuna. Sales revenue in the group's New Markets plummeted by 47.4% to 16 million kuna.
The company's consolidated EBITDA rose by 9.8% to 509 million kuna in 2019, while capital investments dropped by 7.4% to 153.9 million kuna.
Podravka's shares traded 0.67% lower at 443 kuna by 15:10 CET on Friday on the Zagreb bourse.
