July 18 (SeeNews) - Croatian retailer Plodine opened a 2,000 square metres supermarket worth some 5 million euro ($5.6 million) in Tar-Vabriga, a coastal municipality in the Istria County, local media reported on Thursday.
Plodine's 87th supermarket includes a modern cafe-bar, offers 150 parking spots and employs 50 workers, with the number planned to increase during the summer season, news provider tportal.hr reported.
Part of the supermarket offers non-food products, such as household items, textiles, electrical devices, tools and a wide selection of toys and baby products.
Plodine was founded in 1993 and is one of Croatia's leading retail chains. The company operates over 80 supermarkets.
